HASKEL LAVON JACKSON, JR.

Haskel is the Founder and CEO of Genesoul Productions Inc. and the A.D.C. (Artist Development Company) where he develops and produces seasoned and emerging artists from all musical backgrounds and genres.

Haskel also has been developing and teaching for Kanye West Foundation Loop Dreams Program (http://kanyewestfoundation.org/about/), an inner city intervention program for under-served youth. He assist in developing all the curriculum and lesson plans and establishes the day to day operation of the program which is housed at Lou Dantzler Prep Middle School, Challengers Boys and Girls Club and Fernando Pullum Performing Arts High School in Los Angeles. Haskel teaches students how to operate the most recent music production equipment and software, while nurturing the emerging musical gifts and talents of his students. Haskel has been key in establishing this successful pilot program.

Haskel Jackson's journey through the music industry has been amazing and steady. The 2008 release of the Billboard dominating jazz artist Wayman Tisdales (http://www.mackavenue.com/artists/detail/wayman_tisdale/) album,Rebound on which Haskel co-wrote the track Grateful, has been considered one of the hottest songs on the album. He has had the opportunity to write and produce for other artists such platinum gospel recording artist Smokie Norful, highly acclaimed gospel recording artist Virtue, Hollywood Records recording artist and Disney acting phenom, Raven Simone, Helen Baylor and Joy Enriquez-Jerkins just to name a few.

Haskel, in so many words, has been on the grind. From scoring and being the Music supervisor for the Upfront Productions newest release Road To The White House (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1336095/fullcredits#cast) directed and filmed by Keith O'Derek movie to, writing, producing and engineering a song with Kanye West to, re-mixing Amazing feat. Tony Williams and Young Jeezy and Nightmares Feat Tony Williams, Cello and Tada which can be found on Tony Williams mixtape album titled Finding Dakota Grey, for the top charting hip hop phenom Kanye West. Haskel worked with American Idol Finalist Trenyce Cobbins. Not to mention, the single Everything About You where Haskel Produced and co-wrote on Tony Williams debut album King or the Fool which is set to release 2010, along with a possible 2nd single off of Tony's album called Amazing.

Haskel is also a 5x Grammy Nominee. The latest nomination came in 2009 on the Tortilla Factory (an Austin Texas based group) for album of the year in the Tejano category. Tortilla Factory have the status of being called the top Texas Chicano band because of its high caliber musicianship. Genesoul is developing one of tortilla factories masterpieces, Tony Ham's son, Alfredo Antonio. Haskel has been asked by the band to direct their 16-piece band during the 2010 SXSW conference and festival in Austin Texas as they will be playing 4 original produced and arranged songs by Haskel.
Genesoul is preparing for the release of its gospel artist Kimberly Pauley in 2010. Her highly anticipated album features many special guests, singers and musicians. It is being mixed and co-developed by Laythan Armor. Genesoul is also producing and developing gospel artist Melissa Hayward (www.godsvessal.com) who plans to release her debut album in late 2010, and incredible singer/songwriter Shavasha Noel. Genesoul is developing and creating music for Tahj Bellow. Haskel recently signed the lead actor for the Reeces Puff Cereal Commercials (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ErO-YBZppvg&feature=related) and Gifted Hands actor, Tahj Bellow. Tahj Bellow will be someone to keep an eye out for. Genesouls newest addition to the family, Adrien "Al D" Douglas (Hip Hop Rap Artist) a star in the making.
Haskel recently had a amazing opportunity to team up with TV star Rebecca Crews from reality show The Family Crews (http://www.bet.com/OnTV/BETShows/familycrews/default.htm?cid=iBuzzOnTV) which debut in Feb of 2010. Rebecca Crews is the wife of Terry Crews the dad from Everybody Hates Chris. Haskel will be executive producing Rebecca's debut album set to start early 2010.

Currently Haskel's production expertise has enabled him to do all the music on the Gospel Comedy Series, Holla and Holla 2 DVD's, along with the Gospel Comedy All stars (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1128065/). Haskel also contributed 5 tracks to Yoga Flava a yoga workout DVD which is distributed nationally. He recently completed what could be one of the most creative projects he's ever done for kids called Multiplication Nation absolutely amazing.
